Woman arrested at Hayward Blues Festival – Santa Rita Bail Bonds
Posted on: 04/20/2014
During the Hayward Russell City Blues Festival a performer was attacked after announcing a song dedication to Trayvon Martin and the attacker was booked into Santa Rita Jail on felony assault charges.
Trayvon Martin was a 17-year-old who was shot and killed two years ago by neighborhood watch group in Florida.
The attacker Dinalynn Andrews- Potter, 44, leapt to the stage moments after the performer proclaimed the dedication. Once on the stage she immediately began throwing punches and shouting racial slurs. The 73-year-old singer Lester Chambers suffered multiple cuts and bruises to his hands, face, and ribs.
Andrews-Potter recently plead no contest to physical elder abuse instead of the original felony assault charges she was facing with the agreement that she would be placed into a residential treatment facility for substance abuse and overall mental health. Santa Rita Bail Bonds may be contacted for similar assault charges or for anyone who is seeking information on posting bail.
