Posted on: 12/15/2015
Last week an Alameda County man confessed to the murder of his wife. The couple was at the home with their two children when an argument broke out that resulted in the death of 38-year-old Eunkyoung Han.
Once officers arrived to the home they stumbled upon a gruesome and bloody scene.
Blood and broken dishes were scattered around the house and the victim was found in the master bedroom. A blood stained blanket and bamboo plant were placed over her dead body.
The suspect Hee Jin Kim, 39 was found in the home holding his infant child, clutching a red rope and covered in his wife’s blood. His second child was found in another room. Both children sustained no injuries.
Kim stated the argument started while the couple was deciding whether or not to move back to Korea. He had recently lost his job and his wife had also asked him for a divorce prior to the incident. She was found with multiple stab wounds, but an autopsy found that she died as a result of strangulation.
The suspect admitted to the murder of his wife the next day while in custody. He was then taken to Santa Rita Jail in Dublin where he is being held without bail.
