Christmas Eve Package Thieves Arrested

Two suspects were arrested on Christmas Eve after police were called to the Lexington area of Livermore due to multiple thefts. Residents reported that mail was being stolen and packages were being taken from their porches.
One of the victims was able to catch the suspects on a home security camera, but once officers arrived to the scene the suspects had already left the neighborhood.
Later that day Livermore Police responded to a call on Maria Road where Jose Ruiz, 31, and Christina Rodriguez, 27 were found hiding in bushes. Police were able to identify Ruiz and Rodriquez as the suspects in the surveillance video earlier that day. Their car was found nearby and it was filled with stolen packages and mail from multiple surrounding cities.
