Fremont Man Arrested After Swallowing Cocaine

Late last month a Fremont police officer was attempting to serve an emergency domestic violence protective order to a parolee, but once he arrived at the home the man became very uncooperative. When the officer attempted to search the individual attempted to fend off the officer. During the struggle the parolee was able to a swallow a small baggie that was believed to be filled with cocaine.
Once the man was subdued by the officer he was taken to a hospital to be medically evaluated. He refused any medical treatment and remained in the hospital for several hours where he was monitored for his safety.
